    Hello Charles and all
I have a pile of beautifully rotted George’s Marvellous Manure but it is full of nettle roots after the winter. If I smash it up – breaking the roots to some extent – will it be safe to use? I’m concerned that I may be shoulder deep in nettles this summer!
    Thanks for any thoughts
    Helen

    Hi Helen,
Nettle roots are not persistent once the main crown is removed, they actually add structure to manure. You will have wonderful veggies and few weeds!

Excellent news. Thanks Charles. I’ll get spreading!
