Garlic planted last year didn’t grow very well but I harvested what I could – now some bulbs that weren’t apparent have taken off, but are in clumps from several cloves. Should I try to remove all but one from each clump? but risk disturbing the roots of the one I leave behind… or just leave them be, knowing they will form small cloves, presumably. (pic attached)

    They look great PJ.
I would start thinning now, use the small ones from each clump as ‘spring garlic’ or green garlic. Chop into stir fries, salads etc.
