    Hi Charles

I am planning on planting Onion Sets in mid March and might follow these with spring Leeks around mid August which should be ready for harvesting in March 2017.
I’m wondering if this is too long to have Allium occupying the same piece of ground as we are talking 12-13 months. Carrots will follow on from these in my usual 4 year rotation.

Hello Don, this sounds alright to me. It compares with planting purple sprouting broccoli in May, which can then be in the ground for a whole year. Not to mention perennial kale!

    Thanks Charles.

    Don.
