I am preparing the first of our no dig veg beds. Currently it is huge amounts of dig shifting top soil around but once in place will remain there.
I am wanting to use big silage clamp plastic sheets to cover the ground once I have levelled and applied compost. These sheets are 25m x 13m. I am wondering if things might start to get starved of oxygen under the middle of a big sheet like this?
I see no problem with that, it’s unusual for old sheeting to have no slits or small tears, you could make some to let air & rain in.
Earthworms like the darkness & moisture.
