Hey all,
Was wondering if anyone has any idea what insect this is?
There were hoards of them under the mesh of my cabbages. I do believe they hatched from the soil/compost/well rotted cow manure that was filled last summer/autumn.
They don’t look like houseflies (similar looking to cabbage root flies that am so terribly fearful of).
Hope someone can enlighten me what this critter might be. Hopefully is friendly. Fingers crossed!
