Plants falling over

Hello

I have some daubenton kale and Cavolo Nero that are collapsing over. Both were planted from small plants, not from seed and they seemed pretty deep but the ground doesn’t feel particularly firm as I’d expected. The ground on one of the beds is only about 6 inches deep and then below that there is a harder clay like soil that is still pretty resistant. This is only the end of my first year of no-dig. Is there anything i can do to remedy this? Can I replant them?

mine tend to do that, I just right them, tuck them in and stake them and they continue growing well.

I’ll give that a go, thanks. I’ve avoided using stakes as I’d experience this with house plants in the past and found that the stake didn’t really resolve the problem and instead they just grew bigger, relying on bigger steaks. I’ll see how it goes.
