I saw a link to this article on facebook today and was rather upset by being told that I am part of the problem causing blight.
Well this is a bit steep because in the conditions this summer, however meticulous everybody was, there was going to be lots of blight. Also it was a dry summer and autumn last year with little blight on allotments and in gardens! Also I think their version of blight surviving is wrong (it overwinters in soil, compost in the USA, not here).
But they have a great story to sell the paper, and a nice pic of the Duchess!!
What did you expect? Nuff said!!
