I was checking my Kalibos red cabbages yesterday and notice two of them were losing outer leaves, when I checked the middle of the stem was rotten hence the leaves dropping off, ,
I did not see any creepy crawlies and wondered what caused this. one of the cabbages the rot was up to the top of the stem or bottom of the cabbage. . Only two of about twenty are affected can anyone help, the cabbages themselves look great and I wonder if I should harvest them all or leave them to finish

Oh dear, I think its bacterial soft rot which a lot of us are experiencing – does it smell bad? See my updateand sorry I know no remedy, I think the bacteria enters after insect damage.
