Roundup Weedkiller

I garden organically and therefore have no experience of weedkillers such as Roundup. My friend has just taken over an allotment plot which was treated with Roundup about 2 months ago. Can the remains be composted or should they be taken to the recycle centre.

 A good question as no proper research has been done on this. My feeling is to take it to recycling as their heaps get hotter than ours. I expect worms and soil life are busy recolonising thank goodness!

I know this is an old thread, but that institute seems to be decidedly iffy, the content of the link does not match for example wikipedia information, personally I’d file it under suspect.
