He said it improved the flavour. Has anyone tried this, or something similar? With the weather becoming colder, I was wondering if it was worth trying or is it not necessary? I can’t imagine how or why it would improve the flavour…! 21st December 2009 at 7:24 am #22227 charlesModerator The paper would keep some frost off but any improvement in flavour sounds doubtful to me unless it was from blanching of endive and chicory leaves to reduce their bitterness. The paper could also harbour slugs. Author Posts Viewing 2 posts - 1 through 2 (of 2 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
