Ok, sorry Dazerelli – I am posting comments in the wrong place…
I’ll try here! I am having trouble finding Chartwell, Rosemoor, Mottistone and Freckles seed… Can anyone help? Thanks.

Hi Kate,

I find MoreVeg good, a good range of all vegetables and particularly good for small quantities at low prices, handy for trying out lots of different varieties:

Nicky’s Nursery also has a good range and has started to sell a limited range in smaller and cheaper packets:

If you have Charles’ books handy, I think he lists some seed suppliers that he uses towards the back, maybe in the references section.

Hello Kate, Tozers used to be good for all those lettuce varieties but now they seem to have gone all large scale with minimum orders of 10,000 seeds etc. Try Plants of distinction for Mottistone or Claremont instead of Chartwell. Organic garden cataloge has some really good varieties of lettuce too. Robin
