hi, i have been covering a few beds with grass clippings and hedge clippings that are rotting dow nicely, my question is i will be covering the composted clippings with well rotted horse manure from my local stables will i be able to sow or plant directly in to the manure, the clippings are about 1ft deep what depth would be good for manure on top, thanks in advance ………….pete
Sorry Pete I can’t say without seeing how decomposed those clippings are, they may be too unrotted and sluggy too, I would have composted them unless it was soil I was not going to plant into until next year. Depends on the manure too, how crumbly.
