Following on from watching Charles’s video on multiple seed sowing into modules, would it be possible to plant say 4 Japanese bulbs together straight into the ground – I’m looking at this from a space angle?
Yes you could, or similar by simply planting closer.
The advantage of multisowing (rather than multiplanting) is handling less small seedlings.
With sets, they do need to go in right way up so if you try this, place them carefully in a hole, or just pull compost back with a trowel and plant in the slit.
