After my 1 day course at the end of September, I bought mushroom compost and yesterday created a no-dig base (hopefully in the image attached!). At the moment, the ‘paths’ only have cardboard. I was going to put a bit of the remaining compost on top of them and then some wood-shaving. Is that a reasonable thing to do? should I cover the whole thing at all or just leave it for the winter? Thanks! Jo

Your bed looks lovely Joanna and you can leave it uncovered, then sow and plant when the season allows.
Paths look good too, some compost and shavings on top is fine, or just shavings if you need compost elsewhere
