As suggested by Charles I am wanting to use West Riding organic compost for my sowings. On there site the lowest order is 30 bags. Anyone know how best to store this compost for future years use, I will only need a few bags a year but for best deal makes sense to buy in bulk. Will it keep well in the bags stacked somewhere dry without losing goodness? Thanks

My experience of the West Ruding Organic is that it’s good for two years. I stored the sacks in a shed.
I don’t know how much longer it would be good for, let us know if you try!You can buy smaller quantities through the Organic Catalogue (now Sutton/Dobies). I wasn’t sure whether they were still operating but ordered 6 bags last week and they arrived very quickly. Ready to go. Raring to go!!
2 – 4 bags of the west riding should do a season for an average allotment, or 1 – 2 bags of the klassman at 70l each. The latter are available on amazon from quick crop at £25 inc. delivery. Not cheap, but great stuff. Cheaper if bought in bulk; someone on here did organise this at some point…
