What’s the best way to harden off plants when you have time constraints?

Let’s assume I only have Saturday and Sunday available.

It would take me 4 weeks to get it done doing the usual 1 hour per day for 7 days.

Would it be better to let the plants grow inside for an extra few weeks and put them out and hope for the best? Will they die from sun shock or will it only stunt their growth while they recover?

Is it better to put seedlings out before true leaf stage? I heard they have natural UV tolerance.

    Any tips or tricks appreciated.
