Hello. As always happens at this time of year I have too many tomato seedlings in pots than will fit on my windowsills! My greenhouse is on my allotment several miles away so all my seed raising has to be done at home. Night-time temperatures are still going down to almost freezing and day temperatures still in single figures most days. I could put them outside in the day where they would get enough light and bring them into the house at night. This would mean that night temperatures (in the house) would actually be higher than day temperatures outside. My plant science isn’t good enough to know how this would affect plant growth. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I have done this plenty of times over the past five years and got good yields of tomatoes.
Whether it is optimal I do not know but it certainly is not too disastrous….
