Trimming Daubentons

I have clearly not been eating enough Kale and my Daubentons has grown far too large for its location. I was wondering if any of you have tried giving yours a fairly radical cut back? If so when did you do it and how successful was it?

Yes I prune it all the time Bluebell. Taking off stems, regular picking too and removing older leaves. They never stop growing ! Mine is Taunton which has a slightly different habit, taler with more numerous leaves, smaller ones I think.

Thanks Charles – think it may be time for a fairly radical cut then – especially as it is suffering quite badly from green fly and black fly att the moment.
