Not sure where to write this, Charles, but thank you for your update headed Happy New Year.

I read your lettuce recommendation for Grenoble Red earlier in the year and managed to source some. Unfortunately, only one germinated and as my intention was to save the seed, as you suggest, it’s all on its ownsome in my greenhouse. Very disappointing. I have picked a few leaves to eat (very nice, too) but thought I’d better stop and just allow it to grow.

However, I can continue to pick and eat it now as your fantastic link of Seeds and Varieties at the bottom of your last update advised googling under Rouge Grenobloise and I’m so pleased that Franchi, one of my fave suppliers, does this type of lettuce – hurray!!

I bought Grenoble Red from Franchi spring 2017 and the seeds were excellent.
