Hi Charles
Could you advise on ventilation on my polytunnel doors. The size of my tunnel is 4m long by 2m wide. I have the option of covering my doors fully with net, half net/ half polythene or fully covered in polythene.
What door covering would you choose in order to maintain good ventilation in summer? What about keeping warmth in during winter?
I would cover the bottom three quarters in polythene, top quarter in netting and keep them closed. No birds or animals can then enter, you have continual ventilation but not too much – its a small tunnel.
Hi Lottie I have that set up and plan to use some of the off cuts of polythene to make covers for the top of the doors in the depths of winter if it gets really cold.
I took this option because I know that I cannot get to my allotment twice a day to open and close doors.
