Its been an outstanding season for leeks, cabbage, caulis and swedes in East Yorkshire. Cauiliflower Medaillon was exceptional with a reasonable cropping period, it headed up well notwithstanding the dry conditions prevailing. When harvested; roots were very dry and club root was evident but they still gave good results. Savoy Cantasa was pick of the cabbages and we`re still using them. Leeks Pandora, Bandit and Mussleboro all did well but I still prefer Mussleboro because of its dark green foliage. Its a bit different to last year when everything got killed off by the weather.
