Investigating one compost bin I find not only scattered woody stems but lots of wood lice, so I’m worried that if I spread that onto my active veg patch (carrots, brassicas, spinach, garlic, onions, fruit bushes) the lice will munch them. What should I do? Thought about decanting the compost first into eg wheelbarrow/lawn to encourage the lice to run off! Advice please as I’d like to spread the compost ASAP.
