hi Thomas, I came across these online just today. I am wanting to reduce my plastic consumption, so hence my search. These are, however, extremely expensive at 73€ each for the wide tray; they should last a long time though!

I would be interested if anyone has found similar products at a better price.

Can you tell me which is the best sort of mesh for flea beetles, cabbage aphids and similar other aphids please Charles – there seem to be so many, and so pricey, so your experience would be invaluable for me, thanks.

thanks plantmark, I had looked at this one, but was concerned that it was a bit flimsy with only 5mm thick rod. what sort of size compost piles do you have on the go, ie, are they sort of 1 meter cubed, which is the size we construct? thanks

thanks Di. if you don’t think it’s blight, do you have any idea what else it might be – I don’t want to panic and remove them (not flowered yet) if I don’t need to.

don’t worry stringfellow – we are totally converted to no dig, it’s too much like hard work, and we have an acre of garden to manage, so digging would be a nightmare 😉

thanks Charles, much appreciate you taking the time to answer my question. mind put at ease now – even though we are a bit late planting here in central France – it has been so very very wet and almost nil sunshine these last 2 months, that everyone is behind with everything 🙁
