Managed to pick a few things for Sunday dinner. Bijou lettuce from cold frame, purple Stewart asparagus, parsley, chives, spinach, oregano and radish from the greenhouse
Nice result.
All fresh harvests in early spring are special, especially purple asparagus!Same here – first proper asparagus harvest for Easter Sunday, rhubarb started mid-March, chard harvest started properly two weeks ago, first radishes in the garden this week, ditto oregano.
Seems to me that first asparagus comes along with first cut of comfrey and apple blossom.
