I went to the lottie this morning and noticed some “bumps” under the cover on the asparagus bed. I have to keep my beds covered in winter to stop birds, rabbits etc digging in them. To my surprise there were over a dozen white asparagus spears ready for cutting and lots more showing as well. Guess what’s for dinner otnight.
Make the most of this lovely surprise Jeanette, as the cooler nights will now slow growth.
