    Dear All,
    My romancesco fennel (sown 31/5/14) has nearly all bolted without forming decent bulbs.
    Any advice for more success next year?

    Same here Tom and last year but Fennel Finale grown alongside is fine. Romanesco must be sensitive to soil conditions probably dry weather and/or temperature (cold nights?).

    Thanks Pete, that’s interesting. I sowed my first Romanesco on 29th June and it looks promising now, early June sowing of Solaris F1 has bulbed well.
