    I havent grown these before and they are looking good what size should beans be when i pick them?

    I am also growing a dwarf variety for the first time. I want to use mine as a dry staple for winter and would be grateful for any advise.

    You can eat them when pods are swollen, shell out the plump beans & boil 10-15 minutes, or leave them unpicked to dry on the plants by early October (usually) then pick and shell out and dry on a tray before putting in jars. A good winter staple for sure.
