    Hi Charles

Now that the snow has melted I want to pick sprouts for christmas Day in case we get more snow here in the Cotswolds.
Is it best to leave on the stalks and store the whole plant . I only have an unheated greenhouse or a dark garage or the kitchen to keep vegetables in. The sprouts still look quite small though.
What about Calvo Nero Kale for Christmas? How long will the leaves store?

    Thanks. Have a restful Christmas.

I would wait Jacqui, the forecast is all mild and no snow until January, even for you.
Sprouts would keep but will taste nicer fresh, same with the kale.
If you cut a spout stalk, no more can grow at the top.
