    Hello Charles and all

Having successfully mastered getting outdoor cucumbers to climb I am wondering if it is possible to get courgettes to do the same. I envisage tying them in in the same way I do the cucumbers (up three or so canes tied in a wigwam with string wrapped around).

I was thinking to put the courgettes in large pots to save my growing space for other fruit and veg so would put the canes in the pots and tie in the shoots.

Has anyone tried this at all?

    Happy growing and eating,

    Eliza

Courgette stems are more hollow and brittle than cucumber
I tried it once and the wind snapped the plant in half
In a sheltered spot it may work!

    Thanks, Charles

Think I may do half and half, trail a couple and climb a couple and see how it goes!
