    Hi

Looking up various articles on crop rotation, it suggests that the ground for the brassica crop which follows on from potatoes, needs to be limed because of the acid in the soil from adding manure the previous year. With the no dig method, does this still have to be adhered to?

All I can say Andy is I have never bothered, but we are within sight of chalk downs so it probably wouldn’t make much difference 😀

Brassicas do not like acid soil so much, nor do they need high alkaline.
I call this a myth, because I do not know of evidence for manure making soil acid.
Artificial manure do a little, i.e. artificial fertiliser, NPK. Perhaps that is the origin of this tale.
So its one job less to do!
