We got a grant to put rabbit fencing round the allotments and now we are rabbit free. However…..a Fox is visiting and obviously not deterred by the rabbit fence. What are foxes partial to? Can’t see any major damage at the moment except where moley has been tunnelling.

Potentially, unless you have poultry or rabbits, the fox will be no great concern. They may dig, for worms, and knock down plants in passing. Hedgehogs may be predated, although the badger is a greater risk to these. Some ‘vandalism’ may be caused by young foxes in chewing and play-fighting. There is some potential for contamination of foodcrops, particularly salads. Soft fruit may be taken, blackberries and strawberries.
