    Dear Charles

I am planning to plant a quince (Aromatnaya on Eline rootstock), a plum ( Denniston’s Superb on VVA1) and an apricot (Flavorcot on Montclare) on my allotment. Do you think I could get away planting them in a row at a spacing of 2.25m (within the row). The row would be 2.5m away from another row of fruit trees (on dwarfing roostock)? Would this work or do they need more space?

Also do you have any advice on gowing Granny Smiths?

Many thanks for your thoughts and advice.

Sounds wonderful and it’s possible, just. Prune family hard.
3m spacing would be better though you will be ok up to year 4 or 5.
    Granny Smiths I never tried.
    Happy harvests.
