    Hi Charles,

I sowed Peas (Hurst Greenshaft) in an 84 Cell Module Tray two weeks ago.
I have 100% germination and the seedlings are now about 4 cm tall. This is the first time I have grown Peas in this way having previously sown direct in April but this year that sowing failed to germinate. At what stage should I transplant these seedlings to their final position in the Garden?

    Hi Don
I prick mine out, 3to5 into 9cm pots and grow them on. This is the size of bulb planters, so when I plant out I use a bub planter and drop the contents into the hole.

Pop them out now Don, they take more readily as small seedlings especially in dry weather, they want to grow fast now.

Thanks again Charles. I will do that as soon as weather picks up.
Met Office forecasting Grass Frost for tonight here in Dublin!!

Sowing Carrots and Parsnips today, hopefully not too late. Weather here in Ireland has been dreadful for last 3 – 4 weeks, cold, wet and very windy.

    Don.

Yes the nights are annoyingly cold still but don’t worry about peas, they are fine in frost, better in the ground.
