    Hi All

I would much appreciate your thoughts on my dilemma: I would love to have a greenhouse but the only space on my allotment where I could put one is largely shaded by mature trees to the south and south-west – see attached picture of box edged bed.

There is a good quality greenhouse available locally on gumtree and I’m really tempted to get it – is a greenhouse in shade better than no greenhouse at all?

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

And thank you Charles and All for an inspiring resource!

Sorry – image now resized – for reference to above query.

    Thanks!

Ruth I would buy it and put it there. Even though you are indeed a bit overgrown! (lovely pic)
It may not grow you melons but will be a great resource for plant raising, winter veg and even tomatoes, perhaps not the earliest.
