hello charles do you grow salsify and do you have any growing tips or types
Yes I grew salsify and it was fun, I was especially keen to enjoy some amazing flavours as it has rave reviews, such as ‘taste of oyster’.
Certainly it is something different and unusual, but I thought the flavour is actually not that special, and the roots are small and fiddly with many little fangs. It needs sowing direct in spring and the leaves are like thick grass.
Maybe try a few to see how you like it!
