    Rain is forecast for Friday and my red kuri are ready to harvest. My question is do u harvest them as you would butternut

     Hi Ladbrokes, sounds good, as long as the necks are dry, skins hard, yes you can harvest them now, always taking care to cut plant stems around the neck so that it stays intact and does not break off the squash. As for rain, let’s hope there is some ( the new moon Thursday will help), and for the moment it won’t hurt ripe squash if you didn’t have time to harvest right now, it is so nice to have them ready early.
