    Q. For the forum.
Asparagus we know is a seaside plant. Notwithstanding Charles advice on adding some salt, would there be any benefit importing seaside soil to give the plants some soil life e.g. Seaside bacteria / nematodes etc.
I wonder if the theory that plant roots would grow better in the environment nature originally intended they grow in other than basics like acidity for blueberries etc?
    Thoughts?

Try it with a control patch. Please report.
There is much activity/interest in soil biology in media within the speciality interest groups, permaculture etc. Its like a whole new frontier to be explored -and exploited.
Have been absorbed with Youtube vids of images of soil biology through the holiday period- its more rivetting than TV, thats for sure! With 1 BILLION creatures per cubic foot, definately not to tred ‘ off path’ now.
