Having an abundance of Rhubarb leaves I am considering using the leaves to surround my my potatoes which will hopefully help in reducing condensation .
Thoughts would be welcome on –
How does this affect the potato.
Does it help in keeping away slugs etc.
Would it be good to use before putting on compost before earthing up or after.

Other uses for Rhubarb leaves would also be appreciated, at the moment they are composted and used in dyeing.

You could try it but I expect the slugs will gather under those leaves.

Thank you for taking the time to reply.
I did try to use the leaves as it was very dry at the time (it has not hardly stopped raining since) and as we only have water butts on the allotment I thought it was worth trying.
As you expected it was an haven for slugs, it made finding them easy though.
