New flower beds

Hi

Another question from a complete newbie !!

I’ve started my Vega beds , all a out 6-8 inches deep.

I’m going to start some beds that are primarily for flowers .

My question is how deep to I need to layer compost on for flower beds ?

For beds on soil will 2 or 3 inches be enough ?

And for beds that have concrete underneath how deep would I have to go ?
