    I have been given a packet of New Zealand spinach seeds and am about to give this spinach a try. Has anyone tried this and if so is it as good as our native spinach. My spring sown spinach has started to bolt and these seeds were given to me as an alternative but am wondering if the flavour will be as good as our native spinach.

    I shall be interested to hear, have just planted some myself. The fact that it has been around a while but never caught on makes me wonder if the flavour can be, well, not brilliant. Let’s swap notes.

    Yes, I am. Bit worried about the flavour so I am also sowing. conventional spinach as a backup.
    Will report back in about six weeks and let you know!
