Don’t know if this helps but I’m still using Bedfordshire Champs harvested 2017.No special storage, just in plastic mushroom trays in the shed.

I grew them two years ago and they germinated well, grew goodish bulbs in rows 10cm spacing, 30cm between rows. Stored until early April when they finished. I do not know if you get bigger bulbs with wider spacing as I was planning those for medium sized bulbs….

Tris here are two pictures of seedlings picked to 10cm pots on day 21. Today, on day 24, several plants have clear first true leaves growing well.

Looking good Rhys. That’s home saved Kelsae right? You’re using klassman there too?

Just finished the dreaded greenhouse clean out and wash down. Important job, but never really look forward to it. Already for the starting gun here now 🙂

Onions amongst the first sowings in just a couple of weeks time.

Germinated with Klasmann (last years dregs), then just bog standard Garden Centre MPC with a dribble of bacteria, fungi, Q4 organic, nutrimate and rock dust in the 10cm pots.

Yes, it is home made Kelsae.

And the new bag of Klasmann arrived today, so tip top for the new season starting Thursday.

Great blend Rhys! I’m going with klassman too this year, having given great results last year. Keep us posted.
