I imagine they will start growing horizontally under there. Maybe a week or two till their roots are away? I could put up hoops, as i have done for my pea shoots , but it would involve doing hoops! Which i would prefer not to do Dan 26th March 2014 at 6:12 am #24965 charlesModerator Yes they do grow a little bent and I find two or three weeks is enough. With the warmer weather coming, that will be ample, without hoops – I agree they would mean straighter stems at first but the peas soon go upright after fleece is removed.
