    Hi Charles

Following your methods I’m growing peas this year for the first time in modules indoors – and given the weather I’m very glad I decided to give it a go! They are growing in 4cm modules, 2 to 3 per module. Ten days after sowing the tallest have grown to 7cm, whilst others are just peeping up through the soil, and a few roots are showing through the holes in the bottom of the modules.

How long can they remain in the modules before transplanting outdoors?

    Best wishes

Pea roots are happier than broad beans at collecting themselves at the bottom of modules and then growing happily after transplanting, so it sounds like yours can go another week or so, and in the cold weather they won’t be minding some extra time under cover!
