I have acquired 3 small sacks of racing pigeon manure, which were left at  the allotment site for plot holders to help themselves to. I guess roughly 50 litres or so in total. It looks well rotted.

I’m wondering the best way to use it – direct onto beds as a mulch, or added to my compost heap. I know chicken manure is very strong, but have no idea about pigeons. Any idea, anyone?

I have always understood that pigeon poo was very strong and should be added to the compost bin rather than spread on the ground.

I did wonder if that might be the case – glad to have your advice!
