    Hi Charles

My tunnel is not at home so I have permanent ventilation above the door so day temperatures are moderated but it means temps. drop at night. My reading suggests that aubergines, peppers and melons suffer if min. night temps are below 15C but is this another myth? Even here in Exmouth outside min. night temps. have not got above 10C. Am I better waiting until early June for planting these sensitive plants?

15C sounds way too high John, it’s rare in an Exmouth summer for sure!
I would plant now, they are better in the ground, unless your plants are still v small.

Thanks Charles, that’s good news. The plants are growing well in our bedroom, with even a flower on one of he melons. I have nightmares about Day of the Triffids.

Glad all is now all well with the forum.
