    Apologies for another question Charles, gardening questions can obviously be a bit like buses! Thanks for your patience.

    Better news on the germination front, as squash and courgette etc. sown a week ago are through and looking great. The weather for at least the next week is looking very good and I am lucky to have very little slug damage due to (I think so anyway….) good plot husbandry.

    Is there any advantage to getting these new plants in final position ASAP? I’d usually hold back another week until the first true leaves are well formed, but the weather presents a potentially rare opportunity! Thank you.

    If this weather were to continue, I would say yes.
    But it looks cooler again by midweek, so no rush.
    I plan to plant squash etc after mid month

    Thank you. I’ll probably hold back then, fleece at the ready if needs.
