Charles. I am just planning protection of crops in my new beds and intending to grow most of the crops which you grow. We have Pigeons, Rabbits and Pheasants around us. I am thinking it may be best to cover everything with at least Pigeon netting?
Which crops would you say its best to cover with fine mesh?

Pigeons, rabbits & pheasants suggest covering most veg except potatoes at the moment. Later on, courgette & squash will be ok, climbing beans once they are established. I would use fleece now as its warmer than mesh, until about mid May.

Thanks Charles. Yes intending to use fleece laid flat to start and then place tunnels over later on. Thinking I may as well use the 1.4 mesh over the tunnels for all crops,
