I’d like to have a go at growing a pumpkin or winter squash variety this year which produces hull-less or naked seeds.
Has anyone had success with this and could you recommend a good variety to try?
Thanks, Andy
I grew them successfully in south west France but have never had a harvest in south west Britain. Just getting them to germinate is tricky, I think the seed stores less well for being hull-less. And it seems they need more heat than we have normally – though, like you Andy, I am keen to hear of any successes.
