    Hi,
I sowed some salad seed on 6/2/12 – they look good and strong. They mostly have 2 or 4 leaves and are about 3 inches tall….Is this a good size to plant out or should I wait?? K

Should the seedlings be protected by netting? K

Kate, I worry that your seedlings are all of three inches high and have no more than four leaves, are they short of light and drawing up? They should be an inch high or so.

Anyway, they are better with six or eight leaves, all touching in a module tray, no rush at the moment.

Worry not! I have just checked and I think my measuring skills are not what they were. An inch is more like it! I will wait for more leaves. They are in the greenhouse and not short of light. Thanks, K
