    I have sown Rainbow and White Chard in the greenhouse to plant out but it almost always seems to bolt as a result

    Is this a common problem or can it be cured?

    John from this summer sowing it will not bolt, but from sowing in early spring it often does, whether you sow out or in.
    Chard is biennial. Sow too early and it has enough cold to fool it into thinking year 2 has arrived, when warm conditions arrive.
